Zhenya Zakhar, a tattoo artist from Ufa, is helping women who have suffered from domestic violence. She offers to create free tattoos to cover the scars left by their husbands and boyfriends, following the tradition of Brazilian tattoo artist Flavia Carvalho and her project "A Pele da Flor" (The Skin of the Flower). Zhenya does not profit from this work, but she is determined to continue. "I inflict pain with my needle to help them forget the pain caused by their loved ones," she says.
